Rim to Rim Hikes - Grand Canyon Backpacking
This is the classic adventure destination that should be on your "things to do in your lifetime" list!
Hiking from one rim of the canyon to the other allows you to experience breathtaking views and the vast expanse of the canyon. There are few experiences more spectacular than seeing both the North and the South Rims at the same time from the bottom of the canyon, and is by far the ultimate Grand Canyon adventure tour.
Backpacking trips commence from either the South or North Rim. Regardless of which you choose, you can customize your trip with an overnight stay at one of the several lodges on either side of the canyon before or after your hike - or both!
There is a small window of opportunity each year to travel to the North Rim because it's closed during the winter months, and there is an even smaller window to complete the hike through the inner canyon as temperatures can climb well over 100 degrees in the summer. We recommend reserving this Rim to Rim hike at least five months in advance.
We also offer Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim backpacking tours, traversing the Canyon and back again. This is a trek for the experienced hiker in excellent physical condition. Contact Us for a detailed itinerary.
